Default Anyone else tired of THIS?

I apologize if this belongs else where, or if someone ranted about this already, I don't feel like searching. Delete or move at your whim.

You go to Great Temple of Balthazar for something as innocent as...testing a build at the Isle of the Nameless.

It's loading. Ding! 100%. Your screen loads. PING! You get this whisper.

Jsadk Sajkld: welcome to [insert site].com, offers guild wars gold at LOW PRICES! Instant delivery, great deal, buy today!

I'm tired of these. It happens the second I warp there. About half the time, if I sit there, they'll resend it every 15 seconds or so. This is tedious, and my ignore list only gets these people on. I'll block maybe ten or so of these people, but each time I go there, more appear.

These are in American servers, not international by the way. International is worse. Can we ban these lifeless avatars off the face of Tyria, please?

BANHAMMER.

EDIT:

Since there's some of you who can only say "Don't hang out in the GToB..." here's my response. The 19/20 times I visit there, it's because I'm swapping from PvE to PvP worlds, testing a build, or getting and selling Zaishen Keys. Once I'm done, I get out of there and move about my business. If I'm there longer, it's for selling the key, or simply swapping out skills to make the build better. Does this still bug you? The problem is not that I should just ignore or completely avoid an area that's built in the game to be used. I'm stating that Anet needs to find a way to find and decapitate these annoying gold selling buzzards, quick. This has been very recent, and it's continuing on because nothing is stopping them. Fix this mess!

Yep, it sure is annoying, I'm sure A-Net is finding a way to address it though.

For now all we can do is /Report for spamming.

Not really tired of it, its one sentence that isn't hard at all to ignore. Solution? Don't hang out in Great Temple, there is no reason to be there other than just starting a PvP char or selling zaishen keys. The only time I ever get these is when I'm selling keys, I rarely get one on loading in.

Think of it this way. Would you rather have them whisper you or not? Don't say you don't care, because you always have a preference.

Gold sellers are black market and screw with the economies of real countries. They should be imprisoned, not just banned.

I would love to see an option to only accept whispers from people on your friends list or guild members... That would shut this stuff down very quickly.

I get most of those PMs upon zoning into the temple. It isn't that hard for me to deal with, considering I have a set purpose for zoning there. I do what I need to do and get out asap. Plus if it gets out of hand, just put yourself on do not disturb or ignore the specific spammer. Report typically doesn't work for me because by the time I type their name, they're in a new district.

All Anet needs to do is park an employee there for 30min a day to thin them down.

Sometimes, I'm in the middle of a whisper conversation. I can't ignore every single one, there's an army.

Although I've noticed this a LOT in the American districts, I have yet to see it in the English European ones, oddly.

They are worse in ID1 then anywhere else. Gaile has said that trial accounts cant whisper, but everytime an Itemcoo bot is banned, theres a new one the next day.

I seriously dont think they are buying a new account everyday.

Was that a recent change to trial accounts? I let my friend trial Factions and he was whispering me telling me he loved the game and all. Just keep banning. They'll run out eventually.

I have two words of advice on how to avoid this, at least currently:

Korean Districts.

Seriously, there's like no one there. You can still whisper like crazy to friends without fear of spam. Just a godsend, really.

Anet doesn't ban gold sellers.

You do realize the easiest way to catch people buying illicit goods is to monitor the sellers, right?

I once typed back to one of those people saying "You do realize your English is horrible?" and they responded back with "You not ANet!" to then travel from AD1 to AD2.
